Fisherman's Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey was home to the
city's heavy fishing and whaling industry until the 1960s and has since
become a popular tourist attraction. Now the wharf is lined with numerous
seafood restaurants and clam bars as well as art galleries, gift shops, and
candy stores. Sea lions, as shown above, often sleep on the beach or on the
docks or moored boats.
