Natural Bridges State Beach

Natural Bridges State Beach is a state park in Santa Cruz. It gets its name
from natural arches formed by waves crashing into cliffs along the beach.
Only one of the original three arches remains, the other two having
collapsed. The beach also has tidal pools containing small sea creatures and
is a great place for viewing whales, sea lions, sea otters and a wide
variety of birds.
The park also features a preserved eucalyptus grove and a nature trail which
shows the stages of the life cycle of the monarch butterfly. The best time
of year for viewing monarchs is from mid-October to late January. The park
also has a visitor center with a small aquarium featuring local marine life.
Layered clothing is recommended due to changing weather conditions.
