Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a four-minute roller coaster ride that goes up, down and around Thunder Mountain. This ride can be found in Frontierland. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a runaway train that winds its way through an Old West mining town, through caves and over sulfur pools. Though this ride seems to be small it will definitely pack a big punch. This ride tends to attract a lot of visitors so you may want to go to it just as the park is opening or during the last two hours before the park closes.

Thunder Mountain is fast and can reach speeds of up to 30 miles (50 km) per hour. It is not made for anyone who may have neck or back trouble, heart problems or for expectant mothers. Sit near the back of the train for more thrills. Also be sure to put away your glasses and hat before you ride, or you may lose them. Be sure to look for hidden Mickeys among the stones or painted on the ground while you are standing in line.

This ride is one of nine attractions that offer the FastPass service. Using this service will work to your advantage as it will help you to experience the full fun of Disneyland rather than just settling for the main attractions.
