Disneyland Resort

disneyland resort

The Disneyland Resort is a recreational resort complex that can be found in Anaheim, California. It is owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company through its parks and resorts division. It is home to two theme parks, three hotels and a dining, shopping and entertainment area.

The opening of Disneyland Park occurred in 1955. Though at first much of the surrounding area of the park was not owned by Walt Disney due to financial restraints, over the years the company has gradually acquired the land west of the park. The most well-known parts of the land to the west are the Disneyland Hotel, the Emerald Hotel of Anaheim (which is now called Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel), and several properties north of the Disneyland Hotel.

When you enter Disneyland, any cares or worries you may have for the day just seem to disappear. Upon entering the park you are instantly transported to a world where elephants can fly, pirates serenade and dreams really do come true. You can meet a mermaid, rocket through a galaxy, or even trek through the jungle. Laughter is always in the air and there are plenty of friendly smiles to go around. The best thing is that Disneyland has the uncanny ability to change and yet somehow remain the same.

Though Disneyland was originally ridiculed as an expensive failure, this incredible achievement eventually captured the hearts and the minds of millions of visitors and changed the entertainment industry as we once knew it. Disneyland is certainly a land of enchantment.
