Fireworks Show
Unfortunately even at Disneyland, day turns to night and everyone must sleep. Before doing this however, Disneyland has a fabulous fireworks show every night that will capture your family’s heart. This fireworks show has grown and changed over the last few decades. It used to be a lot of patriotic flag waving and other more global themes mixed along with the parade and then the fireworks show. When Disneyland had its 50th Anniversary, the fireworks show changed again and became the best yet in its history by putting the focus on Disneyland itself.
This show uses the cutting-edge pyrotechnics of choreographed fireworks, lasers and lights to recall many of the parks old E-Ticket attractions and incorporate actual ride soundtracks such as “Yo Ho, Yo Ho” from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion’s Ghost Host “Welcome foolish mortals….” spiel.
They use Disney’s patented compressed air fireworks system to get rid of any unintentional percussive blasts and residual black powder smoke. This leaves the sky clear for you to see Tinker Bell as she soars above Disneyland’s castle. “Tink” is now able to play a more significant part in the show due to new rigging (or was that just more pixie dust?) than she has ever been able to in the past with her fly-bys.
Possibly one of the best places to be during the fireworks show is somewhere near the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This will enable you to fully appreciate the surround-sound features and the fireworks as they explode over Main Street USA.
