Jungle Cruise

Climb aboard a boat, skippered by a captain of questionable motives and tour the jungles on an unforgettable cruise. Although the boat’s skipper may be used to offering reduced rates for hauling freight and people up the rivers, the sure hand and fast reflexes can keep the boat’s occupants safe for peril.
The boats will give riders on the Jungle Cruise a glimpse at famous rivers, as well as the dangers they present. The Irrawady River in Burma is where ancient shrines can be found and waters of the Congo present the hazards of waters filled with hippopotamus. The rivers of the Amazon are well-known for the natural creatures as well as a glimpse of what makes a rain forest such a delicate place in the environment.
However, it can be the return to civilization that is the scariest part of the ride. Families with toddlers, kids and teens will also enjoy this exhilarating ride through nature and can learn much from the excursion.
Originally based on True Life Adventures by Walt Disney, the attraction was much more serious in nature. Humor was added during the attraction’s later years to make it more enjoyable for all ages. During the day cruises, the attraction is less intimidating, making it more enjoyable for the younger children.
Located in Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise begins at a colonial outpost on a river and proceeds through the many different attractions. The boat skipper-guide will share their knowledge of the river on which the boat is traveling to both entertain and educate.
