Adamson House

If you want an historical lesson to go along with your trip to Malibu, there are certainly many things that you can see and do. However, among some of the best of these historical attractions is the Adamson House, which is a classic Malibu home open to the public to viewing.
The reason the house is famous is that it was built in 1930 for Rhoda Rindge Adamson, as well as her husband, Merritt Huntley Adamson. Not only is this a beautiful house that is also seeped in history, but it is located on the shores of one of the most beautiful places; one of the most beautiful beaches of Southern California.
There are many artifacts inside of the house, which is open to public tours most days of the week. The Persian style rug with fringed ends is designed right into the tile. This was done by William Handly of Malibu Potteries.
The house is open from tour Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. You can take a guided tour of this historical sight, and see all of the house, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the guest house. This is a great place for you to go with your families, because it is a huge piece of Malibu history, not to mention a very important historical home.
