Newport Beach

Established in 1906, Newport Beach is one of the bustling cities in Orange County, California. The beaches in this part of the state are simply some of the best. One should never miss the beaches in the Balboa Peninsula, Crystal Cove City Park and Corona del Mar (crown of the sea) when visiting Newport Beach.
Aside from its beautiful beaches, Newport Beach is well known for its communities. The communities of Balboa Island, San Joaquin Hills, Newport Coast and Corona del Mar are some of the most famous in this area. Balboa Island is particular something to behold. This artificial island, located in the Newport Harbor, was created right before the start of World War I. Since this island is very exclusive and private, many rich and famous people who wanted to live far away from the prying eyes of the public come to Balboa Island. Indeed, such privacy can cost a lot of money. A simple two-bedroom house with a view of the beach in Balboa Island can cost around $3 million dollars.
Newport Beach has plenty to offer to its visitors. The Back Bay, a wildlife sanctuary, the Fashion Island, which offers some great shopping experience to visitors, and the Newport Aquatic Center, where you can enjoy some water sports activities like kayaking, canoeing and rowing, are some of the things that one should not miss when visiting this city. For people who are visiting both for fun and learning, the Orange County Museum of Art and the Newport Beach Public Library are two of the most interesting places to see.
