Pasadena

Pasadena (which means of the valley), located within the San Gabriel Valley, is one of the most beautiful cities in Los Angeles County, California. Just a little bit over ten miles (16 kilometers) to the northeastern portion of Los Angeles, this community is bordered by Highland Park, South Pasadena, Glendale, San Marino, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, Altedena and La Cañada Flintridge. The communities of Arcadia, San Gabriel, Altadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre and La Cañada Flintridge serve as the suburbs of the city. Pasadena has its own shopping centers, dining establishments and a busy commercial area, which serves as the heart of its commercial activities.
Pasadena is within the Greater Los Angeles metropolis, which is considered one of the busiest places in the world. Since the city is strategically located within the metropolitan area, it has become a regional hub. The opening of the Colorado Street Bridge, the establishment of the Pasadena Freeway and the completion of the Los Angeles metro Gold Line in 2003 made the City the ideal gathering place for people from different parts of the state. Another thing that earned Pasadena the prestige of being a regional hub is the holding of the world-famous annual Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl football game. Pasadena has been hosting the annual Rose Parade every New Year’s Day since the 1890s. Thousands of people gather during this celebration. For people who want to see lot of celebrities gathering in one place, the Rose Parade is the perfect place.
