Queen Mary

Not only is Long Beach famous for its wonderful shopping, its great attractions, and its beautiful scenery, there are also historical things to see and do as well. One of thing is to visit the Queen Mary.
The Queen Mary was an ocean liner. She was used as a troop ship during World War II. This ship is very famous because it is very old, and also because it traveled back and forth with troops many times in order to fulfill her navel duty. A visit to the Queen Mary is truly a visit to history, because of the numerous things that there are to see and do here.
Also included is a special exhibit about the Titanic. There are wonderful pieces of Titanic memorabilia that you can see near the Queen Mary, and these two ships shared a lot in common.
Along with the special exhibit of the Titanic, you can also tour the Queen Mary and see many different parts of the ship, including where the sailors lived and slept and ate, as well as the general workings of the ship.
You can visit the ship every day. There is a double decker bus that leaves from downtown Long Beach each half hour all day long. It will take you to Pier J where you can visit the Queen Mary.
