A&M Records

The A&M Records building, located along the Sunset Strip on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, is a famous recording studio in downtown Los Angeles. Silent movie star Charlie Chaplin built the buildings in which it is housed as Tudor-style homes for actors who worked at his studio. These houses were later used as the headquarters of A&M from 1966 to 1999, when the company temporarily went out of business.
