Angels Flight

Angels Flight is known as "the shortest railway in the world". Built in 1901, this short uphill railway transported passengers along the 315 feet (96 m) stretch between Hill Street and Bunker Hill. In 1969, due to deterioration of Bunker Hill, the railway was dismantled. The city vowed to rebuild it once they fixed up the area, which they did in 1996. However, the railway is still closed.
