Directors' Guild of America

Located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, the Directors' Guild of America is the labor union that represents the interests of American film and television directors. It was formed in 1936 as the Screen Directors' Guild and became the DGA in 1960. Some famous film directors, including Frank Capra and Robert Wise, have served as president of the organization.
