Greek Theatre

The Greek Theatre is a 5,700-seat amphitheater in Griffith Park in Los Angeles.
It is used for concerts, stage shows, and graduation ceremonies of nearby schools. The theater was built in 1929, but it had little activity until 1947, when it was used for a performance of the play Anything Goes. By the 1950s, following a series of renovations, the Greek Theatre began to compete with other theaters in Los Angeles.
The Greek Theatre (or the Greek as it is commonly called) features both daytime and nighttime performances. It is advised to bring a jacket or sweater for evening performances.
