Hyatt Hotel

The Hyatt Hotel in West Hollywood is a regular stop for rock stars, primarily due to its close proximity to the Whiskey a Go
Go. It was built in 1958 as the Gene Autry Hotel and sold to the Hyatt Corporation in 1966.
During the late '60s and '70s, it was given the nickname the Riot House, due to the wild parties held by several bands who stayed there, most notably the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Other stars who have stayed here include Jim Morrison, Little Richard, and the cast of the 1984 rockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, who filmed the final party scene on the roof of the hotel.
