Lummis House

This picturesque house was built by Charles Fletcher Lummis. famed journalist and Indian rights activist. It is built out of concrete and rocks from the local riverbed. The house has various design elements, such as Native American, Mission Revival, and Arts and Crafts, each representing different aspects of Lummis' life. He built the house from 1898 to 1910. Today it serves as the headquarters of the Historical Society of Southern California.
