Sunset Boulevard

Sunset Boulevard is a world-famous street in western Los Angeles County.
It runs 22 miles (35 km) from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Coast Highway. The boulevard got its start in the 1920s, when it was used as a dirt road connecting the Hollywood movie studios to the hillside homes of the film stars. One can still find many Hollywood mansions along Sunset Boulevard.
Sunset Strip is a 1.5-mile (2.4-km) long stretch of Sunset Boulevard running through Hollywood. Along the strip, one finds numerous restaurants, luxury hotels, and nightclubs. Famous nightclubs along the strip include the Trocadero, Ciro's, and the Macambo.
