Trocadero

The Trocadero is a famous nightclub on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. During the 1930s, it was an elegant ballroom frequented by many famous movie stars. It started out as a speakeasy during Prohibition. Among the celebrities who visited the original ballroom were Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Cary Grant, Myrna Loy, and Norma Shearer. The Trocadero was featured in the 1937 film A Star Is Born, featuring Janet Gaynor and Frederic March.
The original building was torn down and replaced with a nightclub. Only three steps remain from the original building.
