Alamo Square

The above famous San Francisco scene was taken from the eastern side of Alamo Square, a park in Pacific Heights near City Hall. The six Victorian houses shown are known as the Six Sisters, located at 710-720 Steiner Street. Specifically they are Queen Anne style homes, built in 1895. The city has now declared this area a historic district.
