Civic Center

The Civic Center of San Francisco is a small area spanning a few city blocks northwest of Market Street, east of Van Ness Avenue, and south of McAllister Street. The area has many city and state government buildings, including the magnificent City Hall. It also boasts the Asian Art Museum, Davies Symphony Hall, and the San Francisco Public Library. It also has two large plazas, the Civic Center Plaza and the United Nations Plaza.
A Civic Center Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station is conveniently located at the corner of Market and Hyde Streets.
