Financial District

The Financial District of San Francisco is one of the largest commercial centers in the United States. It is bordered by Montgomery Street to the west, Washington Street and the Embarcadero to the north and Market Street to the southeast. The financial district boasts the tallest buildings in the city, including the Transamerica Pyramid and the Bank of America. The area also includes the four buildings of the Embarcadero Center as well as the majestic Hyatt Regency Hotel, Justin Herman Plaza, the Ferry Building, the historic Golden Era Building, the Wells Fargo History Museum, the Jackson Square Historical District and the Merchant's Exchange. Large corporate headquarters include those of VISA, the Wells Fargo Bank, Charles Schwabb, McKeeson, Barclays Global Investors, The Gap and The Union Bank of California.
