Sea World San Diego is a popular family travel and vacation destination. It has something for everyone and that would explain why both kids and adults love the place. With fantastic aquatic shows, amusements and a variety of other adventures, there is no doubt that Sea World San Diego has both educational and entertainment purpose.

The most popular aquatic show in Sea World San Diego is Shamu’s Adventure. Those of you who love a big splash should make it a point to sit in the first 14 rows. The other attractions are the Dolphin Discovery, Pirates 4-D and Pets Rule where you see dogs, cats and pigs getting into the act. The Shark Encounter is about viewing hundreds of sharks in a massive habitat. For dolphin lovers the best aquatic show is at the Rocky Point Preserve. This is where you can learn more about dolphins, watch them play and if you are lucky, feed one of the dolphins. Sea World San Diego also has snow making the Penguin Encounter a big hit with the visitors and of course where there is snow, there is Wild Arctic.

The California Tide Pool is a popular with kids where they can get to touch starfish. At Shamu’s Happy Harbor, kids can climb ropes, ladders, play in the sand and pretend to be pirates. However, a visit to Sea World San Diego is incomplete without a scary ride. Kids have to be over 42 inches to enjoy the ride through rough water, underground cavern on Shipwreck Rapids. After that you can chill out at the Shipwreck Reef Café and if you are lucky you might even get to meet animals and their trainers.

Sea World San Diego is located on Mission Bay and it is quite close to downtown and the beach areas.
