The Coors Brewery, situated in Golden, Colorado, is the largest single brewery in the world. It is the principal division of the Adolph Coors Company. The Coors Brewery was established in the year 1873 by Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler. The main brands produced in the brewery include Coors Light, Coors, Killians Red, Keystone, and Zima. Coors, the oldest of all the brands produced in the brewery, is popularly known as “Coors Original” or the “Banquet Beer”. It is a 5% abv pale lager. Coors Light, also known as the “Silver Bullet”, is a popular low calorie beer. Killian’s Red, on the other hand, is a 4.9% abv dark lager. Blue Moon is a 5.4 % Belgian style wheat ale whereas the Keystone is a 4.8% abv pale lager. Other brands include the 4.2% Keystone Light and the 5.9% Keystone Ice.
The Coors Brewery welcomes visitors to explore and understand the beer-making process. Guided walking tours are offered free of cost. Visitors above the age of 21 are permitted to sample the products in the hospitality bar. However, such visitors are required to bear an ID proof. Besides, soft drinks are also made available for the under-age and non-drinking visitors. Coors Brewery also houses a gift shop. Coors souvenir merchandise is offered to the visitors in the gift shop. German, Spanish, Japanese, and French tour scripts are also made available on request. Large bags, packages, and backpacks are not allowed on the walking tours of Coors Brewery. However, visitors are permitted to carry baby essentials with them, if required. Children are permitted to tour the Brewery only if they are accompanied by an adult.
