Telluride

telluride ski resort

Telluride Ski Resort is a world-class resort situated in Mountain Village and Telluride, Colorado. This Resort was established by Joe Zoline and today, it encompasses a total area of 1700 acres (6.9 sq-km). The major attraction here is the Prospect Bowl, which was inaugurated in 2002. It is just like the Disneyland of ski runs with exciting ups and downs. It features the popular Warming Hut/Food Stop called the High Camp.

Besides, the Telluride Resort also offers 2 lifts to access the beautiful Gold Hill that occupies the highest portion of the ski areas. Recently, the Resort has also introduced the Black Iron Bowl. An easy hike of nearly ½ hour is required to access these fabulous, lightly trafficked ski runs. Thus, Telluride has a variety of terrain, ranging from very easy to extremely steep.

A maximum vertical drop of almost 3,530 ft (1075.9 m) offers great challenges to the snowboarders and skiers. Telluride observes an average snowfall of 325 inches (825.5 cm) and 300 days of sunshine every year. This kind of climate makes Telluride a perfect Ski Resort. Besides, this Resort is also home to Giuseppe&apos’s, the highest restaurant in the country. Another major attraction is the free gondola that connects the town of Telluride to the modern town of Mountain Village.
