Palm BeachPalm Beach, situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, is an upscale incorporated town separated from the neighboring cities of Lake Worth and West Palm Beach by the Intracoastal Waterway. It was founded as a resort by Henry Flagler, the founder of Standard Oil. Flagler’s two luxury hotels, The Breakers and the Royal Poinciana Hotel, constitute the nucleus of the Palm Beach. The town was finally incorporated on April 17, 1911. The Palm Tran offers several routes for public transportation within the town of Palm Beach and connecting with the rest of the county. The major points of tourist interest in the town include the Flagler Museum (Whitehall), the Four Arts Gardens, Mar-A-Lago, and the Worth Avenue. Palm Beach is a perfect holiday destination and is certainly worth a visit.
