Spanish River Park

The Spanish River Park, situated in Boca Raton in Florida, is a well-frequented, 95-acre (38-hectare) park. It features a 1.5-mile (2.4-km) long beachfront that stretches from the ocean to the Intracoastal. It also offers a designated surfing area on its north end. The major recreational activities offered at the Park include fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, walking, running, and sun-bathing.

The main facilities made available to the visitors include picnic shelters with grills, a large playground, a nature path, showers, and restrooms. The boat dock is closed for the time being and is in the process of being renovated. The Park also offers as many as ten pavilions for rent. Beach wheelchairs and lifeguards are also made available. However, alcohol and pets are not allowed in the Spanish River Park. Also, there are no restaurants or cafes nearby. Spanish River is a serene retreat from the hubbub of the city life and is certainly worth visiting.
