Halouver ParkHaulover Park, situated on a barrier island between the Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, is a regional park managed by the Miami-Dade County in Florida. It is bounded by the City of Sunny Isles Beach to its north and the Bal Harbour to its south. The Park features 1.5 mile (2.4 km) long beach, popularly known as the ‘Haulover Beach’. This tranquil beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Florida and has been officially designated as “clothing optional”. Located between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, the Haulover Beach is best known for its immaculate white sand shore, shaded picnic facilities, open ocean surf, concession stands, and beautifully landscaped sand dunes. Surfing and swimming are main recreational activities on this beach. Other major facilities offered at the Haulover Park include a full-service marina, a nine-hole 27-par golf course, kite shops, sundries shop, elegant restaurants, and six tennis courts. Haulover Park offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and is a “must-see” for all those who visit Miami.
