Key BiscayneKey Biscayne, a village situated on the island of Key-Biscayne in the Miami-Dade County, Florida, is a major tourist destination in Florida. This village lies east of Miami and south of Miami Beach. It is bounded on the south by Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park; on the north by Crandon Park; on the west by Biscayne Bay; and on the east by the Atlantic Ocean. Key Biscayne was established in the year 1947 as a large scale residential development. The international tennis center at Key Biscayne is home to the NASDAQ Tennis Tournament. It also offers many amenities for golf, water sports, and fishing. The annual Key Biscayne ‘regatta’, where a number of boats meet at the sandbar for a day of drinking, is yet another attraction in the village. The main points of tourist interest in and around the village include the Coco Walk, featuring a complete selection of restaurants, shops, night clubs, and an AMC movie theater; the Coconut Grove Hotel; the Bayside Marketplace; South Beach; Metro Zoo; Parrot Jungle; the Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium; the Fairchild Tropical gardens; the Monkey Jungle; and the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.
