Duval Street

Duval Street, the most popular downtown commercial zoned street in Key West, Florida, extends north and south from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. It has been named after William Pope Duval, the first territorial governor of Florida. The Duval Street features a number of famous bars, restaurants, shops, and galleries. The major bars and food establishments in the area include the Bull and Whistle, Rick’s Café, Sloppy Joe’s, and Irish Kevin’s Bar.

On a few nights, Duval Street plays host to a cavalcade and a street party that continues until dawn and beyond. The major points of tourist interest at the north end of the Street include the Mole pier, the Hilton Harbor Complex, and the Mallory Square. On the other hand, the Southernmost House, a magnificent Victorian architecture mansion, is a major landmark at the south end of the Duval Street. Duval Street is the most happening place in Key West ands is truly worthwhile.
