Bayside Marketplace

Bayside Marketplace, situated in downtown Miami, just south of the American Airlines Arena, is a popular indoor/outdoor marketplace, featuring the best food, fun, and shopping opportunities. This touristy waterfront marketplace is a popular stop for cruise-ship passengers and is complete with exotic restaurants, national brand name stores, daily live entertainment, and a number of tawdry gift shops and carts, selling assorted junk. Established in the year 1987, the mall now attracts nearly 15 million people annually. It is serviced by the Bayside Metromover Station.

Most of the restaurants and bars at the Bayside Marketplace are housed in the second-floor food court. The major fast-food choices and bars in the mall include Captain Joe’s Seafood, Fat Tuesday, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Lombardi’s, Hooters, Hard Rock Café, and Let’s Make a Daiquiri. Ample space for paid parking is also available in the mall. The major events and festivals hosted by the Bayside Marketplace include the Opsail sailboat show in June and the Miami Sailboat Show in February. The major attraction nearby is the Bayfront park, which is best known for its annual concerts and festivals.
