Espanola WayEspanola Way, situated in the area bordered by the 14th and 15th Streets and the Washington and Jefferson Streets, has been a longtime favorite of the Bohemian crowd. It stretches from Collins Avenue to the Pennsylvania Avenue, in the Art Deco District of South Beach. Espanola Way was established as the ‘Historic Spanish Village’ in 1925 by N.B.T Roney of the Roney Plaza Hotel. This historic village was designed on the theme of the romantic Mediterranean villages of France and Spain. Espanola Way is well known for its Mediterranean Revival buildings, which date back to the 1920s. It is home to a number of quirky shops, restaurants, and art galleries. This colorful shopping and entertainment district is also recognized for its weekly Espanola Way Weekend Festival, during which the residents and visitors can shop for a wide range of items, including clothing, candles, handmade crafts, and flowers, and can also enjoy live music in an open-air market.
