The Beach

Miami Beach, situated in the Miami-Dade County, Florida, is the finest beach resort in America for almost a century. This city, often referred to under the umbrella term of Miami, was incorporated on March 26, 1915. Miami Beach is best known for its Art Deco Historic District, which has also been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Beach is the most popular area of the Miami Beach. Certain designated areas of The Beach permit topless sunbathing. With a high crime rate and vacant buildings, SoBe was once under urban blight. The popular TV show, Miami Vice, made this area quite popular.

Over the years, this area of Miami Beach has emerged as the richest commercial area in the city. However, crime and poverty still persist in certain places near the area. The Ocean Drive and the Lincoln Road are located nearby and offer great outdoor dining, rollerblading, bicycling, and shopping. A popular attraction on the Miami Beach is the Holocaust Memorial. The Beach is a great place to relax and is certainly worth a visit.
