Pensacola Beach

Pensacola Beach, situated on the Santa Rosa Island in Escambia County, Florida, is bounded by the Gulf of Mexico in the south, the Santa Rosa Sound and Pensacola Bay in the north, and the Gulf Islands National Seashore in the east and west. The major tourist attractions at Pensacola Beach include the Quietwater Beach Boardwalk, Fort Pickens, and a number of novelty houses. The Quietwater Beach Boardwalk features a number of restaurants, retail shops, night clubs, street musicians, and sidewalk artists. Fort Pickens, on the other hand, houses a museum, an auditorium, and a visitor center.

Pensacola Beach is also home to many “novelty houses”, including the ‘Dome of a Home’ and the UFO-shaped ‘Futuro House’, popularly known as the ‘Spaceship House’. The former has been specially designed to structurally withstand storm surge and hurricane-force winds. The Pensacola Beach also features two churches, including the Our Lady of the Assumption Church and the Pensacola Beach Community Church. Pensacola Beach is one of the major tourist destinations in Florida panhandle and is certainly worth a visit.
