Coral Reef

The Coral Reef is one of the major attractions at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida. The spectacular reef offers guest a unique opportunity to swim with thousands of marine creatures, including butterfly fish, parrotfish, and 8-foot (2.4-m) long sting rays. The Stingrays sail leisurely and elegantly past as the swimmers float above. Some of the smaller fish come within the touching distance, but scatter in no time as the swimmer reach out to them.

This authentic-looking coral reef is very popular with snorkelers. The Coral Reef also features an artificial shipwreck. Here, panels of Plexiglas in the hull disclose a pool filled with barracudas and sharks. As it is difficult to view the glass underwater, visitors often get the heebie-jeebies when they see the sharks face-to-face. Coral Reef offers great fun and excitement and is truly worthwhile.
