‘Shark Encounter’ is the most-visited and the most amazing animal exhibit at SeaWorld Orlando. At ‘Shark Encounter’, visitors are taken through a 60-foot (18-m) long acrylic tunnel, where they can see barracuda, eels, variety of sharks, and other dangerous fish at their sides and just above them! This tunnel is the largest, underwater acrylic tunnel in the world. The acrylic panels weigh over 5000 pounds (2.3 tonnes) and bear the pressure of nearly 500 tons (450 tonnes) of water. In addition to the vicious fish and other marine creatures, sea horses and beautiful corals can also be spotted from the tunnel.
The ‘Shark Encounter’ exhibit also offers an eclectic dining experience at the Sharks Underwater Grill restaurant. This elegant restaurant offers viewing areas that allow the guests to check out the dangerous sea creatures as they dine. The visitors are also offered a wide variety of two-hour Shark Encounter tours. The major attraction nearby is the theater that features the popular show, ‘Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island’. ‘Shark Encounter’ offers the guests a unique opportunity to see the world’s greatest marine predators, including the vicious sting rays, venomous lionfish, reef sharks, and a variety of other venomous fish, and is certainly worth visiting every time you visit SeaWorld Orlando.
