SeaWorld Orlando is best known for its impressive animal exhibits and exciting rides. However, it also features many combined attractions, such as the Wild Arctic. Wild Arctic is a snowy wonderland, beautifully designed to resemble the ‘Base Station Wild Arctic’, a high-tech research station established by the present-day scientists around the grating hull of a 19th century voyaging ship. The interactive stations constructed in and around the ship’s remnants offer functioning vignettes of life in the Arctic with real-time computer communications and interaction with research base "scientists."
‘Wild Arctic’ features a multi-level ecosystem and abundant Arctic animal life. The ‘Arctic Ocean at Wild Arctic’ has been created using nearly 900,000 gallons (3400 cubic meters) of man-made sea water. This area is constantly maintained at a brisk 50 degrees and is home to a number of beluga whales, red walruses, polar bears, trout, and harbor seals. The two popular polar bears at the Wild Arctic exhibit include Klondike and Snow. Here, at Wild Arctic, guests are also offered an exhilarating motion-based flight over the frozen north in a jet helicopter. Wild Arctic is the best place to experience the beauty, danger, and excitement of Arctic exploration.
