Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, one of the popular theme park rides at the Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando, Florida, was built in 1999. This ride is actually a 4-D film that combines motion simulation with 3-D effects to offer riders a unique experience of traveling through a city. The guests are required to board a Daily Bugle vehicle, the ‘Scoop’, which takes them into a fascinating world of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man.
As the guests-turned-reporters amble through the empty offices of the Bugle, they discover that the malevolent Sinister Syndicate has annexed the Statue of Liberty using an anti-gravity gun and that he has threatened to obliterate the statue in case the city does not yield to Doctor Octopus and his evil gang of villains. This evil group comprises of all the main Spider-man villains, including the Hydro-Man, Hobgoblin, Electro, and Scream. The guests then put on their Night Vision Goggles and board the Scoops. The vehicles leave the loading dock and reach the New York back alley, where the riders encounter Spider-man, who warns everyone to be careful.
The riders then enter a warehouse where Syndicate is holding the Statue of Liberty hostage. The Scoop is soon spotted, attacked, and hurled into the sewer by Electro, Scream, and Doc Ock. After being nearly burned, the riders escape narrowly to the river where they are attacked by Hobgoblin. Hobgoblin throws exploding pumpkins on the guests and sends them into the streets, where Doc Ock lifts the Scoop with his anti-gravity cannon, lobbing all the riders high into the sky. Doc Ock finally uncouples the anti-gravity device owing to which the Scoop drops down a free-fall 20 stories to the ground to be rescued at the last moment by Spidey’s web. At last, Spider-man thanks all the guests for their help and co-operation and sends them back to the Bugle. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man offer a lot of fun and excitement and is definitely not to be missed!
