Back to the Future - The Ride

Back to the Future: The Ride, located at Universal Studios Florida, is a simulator ride themed after the Back to the Future triology of films. The ride is based on a story that centers around a first-person adventure through time, in search of the trilogy’s villain, Biff Tannen. It was opened at the theme park in Orlando, Florida, on May 2, 1991. However, this ride will soon be replaced by The Simpsons Ride, the latest attraction based on the animated sitcom ‘The Simpsons’.
A number of prop-replicas from the Back to the Future films are put on display as guests queue. Some of the most attractive exhibits include the hover board from the second and third movies, the locomotive from the third film, and a modified DeLorean. The queue video features a novel footage featuring Dr. Brown and several clips from the Back to the Future trilogy. It also presents several diagrams for other innovations, apparently fashioned by Brown; a "live" video feed from 2015 in which Brown elucidates the experiment; and a newsreel video recording of Doc with Albert Einstein and many other significant historical figures.
Riders act as ‘volunteers’ for a time travel experiment at the illusory Institute of Future Technology run by Emmett Brown. Here, they learn that Biff Tannen has run away from his time period and that he is now running amok in the space-time gamut. The guests are also told about an 8-passenger De Lorean time machine invented by Brown. In the mean time, Tannen infiltrates the Institute, steals the time-machine, and vanishes into time. Frenzied, Brown supplicates the riders to help him; the guests then enter the 8-passenger time vehicle and chase Tannen into time.
The riders are led by Biff to the Hill Valley in 2015 where they hound him through town. Smashing into neon signs and flying over the town square, the chase finally conclude at the iconic clock tower. The riders then follow Tannen to the ice age. A horrifying avalanche caused by Biff smashes up the riders’ vehicle completely. However, Brown somehow manages to restart the vehicle completely and accelerates it backward into the Cretaceous Period, where the riders encounter two Tyrannosauruses. The vehicle is then swallowed by the dinosaur and is bucked by Brown until the dinosaur spits it out.
The riders finally drop down onto a lava river to see Biff's De Lorean, now broken and incapable of contriving, moving down an active lava flow toward the edge of a cliff. As both vehicles fall over the edge, the riders' car picks up the pace to time travel speed and collides with Tannen's, sending both of them back to the initial point of departure, the Institute of Future Technology, where Biff is arrested by the security and taken away. ‘Back to the Future: The Ride’ actually comprises of two IMAX dome screens with the riders’ cars arranged around them. The ride offers loads of fun and excitement and is truly worth it.
