ET Adventure

et adventure

The ET Adventure, located at the Woody Woodpecker’s Kid Zone in the Universal Studios Florida theme park, is a dark ride themed after the movie ET the Extra-Terrestrial. The exterior guest queue of the ride is designed to mimic a sound stage where ET is being filmed. The TV monitors at the top presents the video featuring filmmakers talking about their experience on making the film and the ET Trivia. Also, a number of ET posters from the 20th Anniversary re-release of the film are put on display near the end of the queue.

Before forming the interior queue, the guests are ushered into the pre-show room, where Steven Spielberg makes a brief appearance on the TV screens above the guests. He informs everyone that ET's teacher, Botanicus, wants ET to come to "The Green Planet" so that his magical touch can save the dying planet, and that it is up to the guests to bring him back and save the planet! The visitors are then made to enter a second room, where each one of them is given an ‘Interplanetary Passport’. The interior queue is a wonderful forest setting where it is ascertained that the police are on the lookout for ET Finally, the guests board a car suspended from a track.

Every seat of the ride is designed to resemble a bicycle. The seat in the middle of the front row contains ET As the riders are about to be arrested by the police, the cars start flying over the city and then into the outer space. The guests finally arrive at the Green Planet, where they encounter Botanicus. ET’s magical touch travels throughout the globe, saving all his friends. The ride concludes as the riders pass an animatronic ET who thanks everyone by the name they had initially given to the travel agents.
This exciting ride lasts for 5 minutes. It is advised to go for this ride early as one might have to wait up to 2 hours during the crowded periods. ET Adventure is popular with both kids and adults. However, guests with motion sickness or heart, back, and neck problems are advised not to board this ride.
