Game Lab

game lab

The Nickelodeon Studios’ tour ends in the Game Lab, a theme-park designed to mimic a distinctive Nick game show. The tour winds up with a lucky participant getting slimed! The Game Lab live show goes as per the schedule printed in the Studio Guide. The 17 ft (5.2 m) tall Green Slime Geyser, situated in the plaza outside the studio, is worth noticing. This green Rube Goldberg-esque oddity is considered to be the world’s sole source of the green goo, which features the Nickelodeon lore so outstandingly.

Inside the 260-seat Game Lab, adults and children are separated and grouped into different bleachers for the live show. Apparently, Nickelodeon tests new stunt ideas for the game shows in the Game Lab. During the show, the red and blue bleachers are pitted against each other to often amusing effect. Hosts, a staff of cheery assistants, volunteers selected from the peanut gallery to play silly games, and a kid pre-selected to be slimed with green goo add to the excitement of the show. The Game Lab live show appeals more to younger kids and is certainly worth it.
