Nickelodeon Studios, a popular attraction at Universal Studios Florida, was an operating television taping studio. It was established on June 7, 1990 and was closed to the public on April 30, 2005, after the production facilities of Nickelodeon were moved to the Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, California, and One Astor Plaza in New York. Nickelodeon Studios served as a working studio, featuring soundstages 18 and 19. The building located between these soundstages housed the Nickelodeon production offices, makeup rooms, the Gak Kitchen, dressing rooms, and the Game Lab live show situated on Stage 17.

Several Nickelodeon and Nickelodeon GAS shows were produced in the Nickelodeon Studios. The first show produced here was Double Dare. A number of orange benches, designed in various shapes like carrot, foot print, finger, wave, and cruise ship, were scattered around the facility when Nick Studios was in production. In addition, Nicktoon cutouts, offering great photo opportunities, were also scattered on the property.

Nickelodeon Studios also featured a tour for the guests of the Universal Studios theme park. The tour guide would take the visitors through the Blue’s Clues themed room, the Soundstage 19 viewing tube, the Nickelodeon Control Room, the Game Lab area, and other rooms of the center building. At present, the second floor Nick control room and Stage 19 are home to the FSN and Sun Sports Network. Multiple Ren and Stimpy murals in the second floor hallways are also noteworthy. The space that previously housed Game Lab now serves as a special event room for the Blue Man Group and Universal Studios.
