Ptranodon Flyers

Pteranodon Flyers, built by Setpoint and Spectra FX, is a Caripro designed Batflyer model suspended coaster, designed specially for children. It features ten individual cars that seat two passengers each and fly around the 800 ft (243.8 m) long track. These cars are designed to mimic Pterodactyls. The riders’ seats swing side-to-side as well as front-to-back, while the track twists and turns at a very high velocity. The Pteranodon Flyers have a wingspan of nearly 10 ft (3.0 m) and they fly high up in the air in a circular pattern with the riders on their backs.
Pteranodon Flyers is the only ride in Orlando where the adult guests, over 56” tall, must be accompanied by a child. However, this slow loading ride has a ridiculous wait time. Also, this ride is the only ride in the park without an Express Line. As it is not a part of the Universal Express Plus, there is no skipping to the front line here. The Pteranodon Flyers offer guests a bird’s eye view of the entire Camp Jurassic Play area at Islands of Adventure theme park in Universal Orlando Resort.
