Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

buzz lightyear's space ranger spin

Buzz Light-year’s Space Ranger Spin, located at Tomorrowland in the Walt Disney World Resort, is a very popular interactive ride designed for the whole family. The entrance to this attraction is directly opposite the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Here, the guests get a unique opportunity to participate in a fierce battle with evil Emperor Zurg as one of the Buzz Light-year's Junior Space Rangers.

As the guests wind through a brightly lit queue in the premises of this attraction, an animated Buzz Light-year elucidates the mission to prevent the evil Emperor Zurg from stealing the cystollic fusion cell supply of the Universe. The guests then board their individual XP-38 Space Cruiser and spins through 10 exciting, interactive scenes. Each vehicle is provided with two laser cannons and a central joystick for spinning. The riders are required to battle huge robots for nearly four and a half minutes. During this exciting journey, they get a chance to explore planets and also, hijack a flying saucer. The riders are given individual scores depending on the number of orange colored Emperor Zurg insignias fired by them throughout the ride. At the end of the ride, each Space Ranger is assigned a rank in accordance with the score obtained. Also, a ride photo is made available to all the guests irrespective of their age and height.

Buzz Light-year’s Space Ranger Spin is a FASTPASS attraction. It is recommended to use the FASTPASS only if the standby line is longer than 20 minutes. There are no height restrictions for this ride. The nearest fast food joint in the area is the Lunching Pad. The rocket-shaped souvenir cart with Buzz Light-year and Toy Story merchandise is located just outside the attraction and is noteworthy.
