The Living Seas / Seas with Nemo and Friends
The Seas with Nemo and Friends is among the most adored pavilions at Epcot. Recognized as the world’s largest underwater environment created by man, this pavilion was initially inaugurated as the Living Seas Pavilion in 1986. However, in 2005 in order to make the ride more interesting it was decided to bring in the characters of the Pixar mega hit movie “Finding Nemo” and the refreshing new version was unveiled in 2007.
The Finding Nemo movie has been a big hit with children, and adults too enjoy the lovable characters. The Seas with Nemo and Friends ride located in Future World next to The Land, starts with guests boarding their own "clam-mobiles" and are taken to the class of Mr. Ray. The story now moves ahead as Nemo is lost one more time and the guests along with Marlin and Dory try to find the little clownfish. Other characters of the movie such as Crush, Squirt and Bruce also come into the storyline. Finally, Nemo is found and reunited with his friends and the musical "In the Big Blue World" makes for a great finish.
The beauty of the ride comes from the wide-range of deep sees inhabitants and their colorful homes. Also included is “Sea Base” a real aquarium that holds over 65 species of marine beings and with the stunning special effects one can see Nemo and his friends swim in the real aquarium.
Other attractions in this pavilion include the Coral Reef Restaurant, Turtle Talk with Crush and a Gift Shop.
