Wishes: Nighttime Spectacular
Wishes: Nighttime Spectacular, is a very popular fireworks spectacular at the Magic Kingdom theme park in the Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. This amazing show was developed by the Walt Disney Creative Entertainment and was first presented at the Magic Kingdom on October 9, 2003. ‘Wishes’ is considered to be the largest show ever presented at the Magic Kingdom. The regular show revolves around the good and bad wishes of the popular Disney characters, and is hosted by the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket.
The magnificent Cinderella Castle is lighted up for the most part of the show in a brilliant, shimmering blue, mimicking the Blue Fairy. However, the castle is illuminated in fuming reds and oranges for the part of the show that depicts the Villainous Wishes. The show commences with the theme song, synchronized to extremely simple shells, following which Jiminy Cricket starts his narration. The Disney characters and the Disney Villains express their wishes taking turns, and the show finally concludes with a remarkable display of shells and pyrotechnics. Wishes: Nighttime Spectacular is a ‘spectacular’ show in the genuine sense of the word and is a ‘must-see’ at the Walt Disney World Resort.
