Kapalua, a census-designated place, is located in the Maui County in Hawaii, United States. This town is primarily a resort development, which was established by the Maui Land & Pineapple Company in Lahaina. It is situated in a natural lava cove and is bordered by the Honolua Bay surf spot. This natural paradise stretches from the edge of the gleaming Pacific Ocean to the emerald mountain peaks and encompasses an area of nearly 23,000 acres (93 sq km).
Three major accommodations are offered at the Kapalua Resort for leisure rentals. These include the Kapalua Villas, the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, and the Kapalua Luxury Homes. One can either rent the villas and luxury for vacations through companies or purchase the property through Kapalua Realty, Ridge Realty, Sakamoto Properties, etc. Kapalua also houses a number of elegant restaurants offering Italian, Mediterranean, Pacific Rim, Hawaiian, Asian, and French cuisine.
Besides, Kapalua maintains two golf courses viz. the Kapalua Golf Academy and The Bay Course and The Plantation Course. The latter is recognized as the best golf resort in Hawaii. Also, there are 5 beautiful, well-preserved beaches in Kapalua. These include the Oneloa Beach, Honolua Bay, Kapalua Bay, Mokule`ia Bay, and the D. T. Fleming Beach. In fact, Kapalua Bay, formerly known as the Fleming Beach, is designated as the “World’s Best Beach”.
Kapalua is also well known for its vast fields of fresh pineapple and ancient lava flows. Kapalua is a tribute to holistic living and it is at this place that the residents and the guests draw inspiration from nature’s bounty. The signature events at Kapalua include the Kapalua Wine & Food Festival and the PGA Tour’s Mercedes-Benz Championship.
