Iolani Palace

Iolani Palace is located in the capitol district of Honolulu, the state of Hawaii.
It is considered as Hawaiian national treasure. Iolani Palace was used as an official site by the last two rulers of Hawaii- namely Queen Lili`uokalani and the King Kalakaua, the brother of Lili`uokalani.  The Palace was built by King Kalakaua in 1882. When the king died, his sister took over the seat. Throughout the realm time, the Palace acted as a hub of political and social activities in the Kingdom of Hawaii.

Although its magnificence was abandoned after the end of the monarchy, some restoration work started somewhere during the 1970s by pains and concerns of individuals. Preservation and Restoration activities continues even today, as a result, visitors to Honolulu take pleasure in one of the most accurate historic restorations to this Landmark  People use historic Halekoa, for a variety of activities like hosting a business luncheon, corporate holiday festivity, intimate dinner party. This place is in Iolani Palace Barracks.   It is considered a perfect venue for such activities here and the architecture of the building reminds of the medieval castles of Europe.

The various object and articulate were recovered from 4 foreign countries and 38 states. For Example, glassware was recovered from Australia, a chair was recovered from neighboring thrift store and a table was recovered from a mansion of Governor in Iowa.

The hunt to find unique and historical Palace furniture and artifacts still goes on. A lot of historical furniture is missing even today.
