Museum of Westward Expansion

grizzly bear at museum of western expansion

The Museum of Westward Expansion, situated in St.Louis, Missouri, is one of the most important components of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. It aims at preserving some of the rarest relics from the days of Lewis and Clark and helps the guests to explore the history of the American Indians and the 19th century pioneers who played a significant role in shaping the history of the American West.

Some of the most impressive exhibits at the museum include a Sioux War bonnet, a covered wagon, and life-size tipi. A few other exhibits illustrate the way-of-life of buffalo hunters, miners, farmers, and all those whose lives played out during the great westward expansion. The museum also hosts a number of special events. In addition, it offers visitors a variety of interactive tours. The Museum of Westward Expansion is certainly a great place to visit and should not be missed at any cost.
