Carson City is the Capital of Nevada. Carson City, now an independent city, was set up at the time when the mining business was flourishing in the State. This city is a hub of silver mining and a county seat of the earlier Ormsby County. Carson City was named after its explorer. Kit Carson. Reno, situated 30 miles (48.2 km) to the north is the largest city near to the Carson City. Carson City and Trenton, New Jersey are the only two capital cities in the US, which border another state.
