Bellagio, situated on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, is a AAA Five-Diamond rated luxury hotel and casino, owned by MGM Mirage. The architectural style of the hotel is inspired by that of the Lake Como Resort of Bellagio in Italy. The most impressive feature of the Bellagio is the ‘Fountains of Bellagio’, a huge, magnificent dancing water fountain synchronized to music. This fountain is housed in an 8 acre (0.032 sq-km) artificial lake, situated between the Strip and the main Hotel building.
Designed by Marnell Corrao Associates and Jon Jerde, the Bellagio was established by Steve Wynn, on October 15, 1988. The major attraction inside Bellagio is Dale Chihuly’s Fiori di Como, covering over 2,000 sq-ft (185.8 square-meters) of the lobby ceiling and featuring more than 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers. The Bellagio is also home to “O”, the second permanent production of Cirque du Soleil.
The Bellagio Poker room is also famous for its high table limits. It also hosts a number of world tournaments, in partnership with the World Poker Tour. The Hotel premises also feature a Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The impressive exhibits at the Conservatory are changed five times a year and represent different seasons.
